Hacienda Mamecillo, Full Day Tour

Day tour details

The duration of the day tour is approximately 6 hours, and includes a hike, organic gourmet meal, farm tour, learning about the coffee process and a coffee tasting.

The Day Tour starts with an amazing hike (about 3h but adapted to suit each group’s fitness) through the virgin cloud forest of Chiriquí High lands and along the river La Zumbona. You will see stunning waterfalls and have excellent birding opportunities due to the hundreds of bird species native to the area.
Returning to the farm, you will have worked up an appetite for the awaiting gourmet lunch. The farm-to-table lunch will include seasonal fresh fruit and veggies, organic salads and free-range meat (chicken and port) from the farm. Let us know if you have any dietary requirements as we want to make sure that you can enjoy
every one of the dishes.

After the lunch, we will show you around the farm. You will see the greenhouse, meet our farm animals and learn about projects related to the native tree nursery and worm compost.

Finally, it’s time for a cup of coffee! However, this cup of coffee comes with the opportunity to learn about the different stages of the coffee process.

As we are passionate about the environment, we want you to leave not just with an experience but also a better understanding. Topics that that you will interactively learn about during the tour include; the eco-system of a cloud forest, inhabitants and fauna in a cloud forest, native tree nursery (in cooperation with “Mi Ambiente”), monkey study and protection (in cooperation with FCPP), production of organic products, free-range animal farming, compost from Red Californian worms and the complete process of coffee: plant – to cup.

Sea Kayaking in the Mangroves

Price: $95.00 per person min 4 pax

Have you ever wondered how a mangroves looks like? Come and explore this amazing place rich in wildlife! Enjoy kayaking around the channels discovering hidden beaches.

Tour description:

In this day trip we will kayak in the magnificent area of the Chiriqui golf and discovering this unexplored area. The transient and permanent fauna of the mangroves is large and diverse. More than 140 bird , 220 fish, hundreds of species of terrestrial and marine invertebrates, create groups of high diversity along beaches that otherwise would have low diversity. It is likely to see monkeys, dolphins, and a lot of birds that both live in the area and some that just passing through. There is opportunity to do short hikes on some of the islands, incredible views with a lot of history tales.

We will stop for a fresh picnic lunch and a rest before kayaking back to the marina of Pedregal.

For safety there will be at all time a escort boat accompanying us.

Day trip Isla Paridas

Price $130 per person min 4 pax

Included: Transportation from hotel and back (Boquete and David area), bilingual guide, 1 lunch, first aid kit, motor boat during the tour.

Activities: snorkeling, hiking

We will pick you up at your hotel at 7 am and drive to the marina in Pedregal, David area. Transport to the Isla paridas marine national park is in a covered motorboat (1 hr 20 min). Leaving Pedregal we will motor through mangroves and will have the opportunity to spot some of the many inhabitants in this beautiful area with a completely different eco system.Once reaching the open sea we will get view of some of the islands part of the national marine park. Upon arrival on our deserted island we will enjoy a fresh picnic lunch set by our guide. There will be time to relax in hammocks overviewing the white sandy beach and the crystal clear water before getting ready to snorkel around these magical islands. The Gulf of Chiriqui Marine National Park, 14,740 hectare that encompasses many islands, serves as a refuge for leatherback turtle and many exotic fish making snorkeling an exciting and colorful adventure. It is also likely to encounter playful dolphins whilst navigating amongst the islands.
We will leave the islands around 3pm to head back for the Pedregal marina, were we will take you back to your hotel.

Camping Isla Paridas 2days, 1 night

After a tasty and fresh lunch on the island we will get ready to start exploring this magical island by sea kayak,  there will be several route options. It is likely to encounter playful dolphins.

Once the evening comes it is time to settle in in our camp, our guide will prepare the dinner. After a peaceful night under the stars we will wake up for a morning filled with more adventures. We have the options to do some more sea kayaking, snorkeling or to go hiking on the island. We will leave the island after  the lunch to head back for the Pedregal marina, were we will take you back to your hotel.

Sea kayaking isla paridas, camping 3 days, 2 nights

Price: $390.00 per person min 4 pax

Day 1

We will pick you up from your hotel (Boquete or David area) and drive to the marina of Pedregal in David.

Transport to the Isla paridas marine national park is in a covered moterboat(1 hr 20 min). Leaving Pedregal we will motor through the mangroves and will have the opportunity to spot some of the many inhabitants in this beautiful area with a completely different eco system.

Once reaching the open sea we will get view of some of the islands part of the national marine park.  Upon arrival on our deserted island, Gamez, we will have lunch and take a bit of time to relax in hammacks overviewing the white sandy beach and the cristal clear water.

After this relaxing lunch we  will head out with the motorboat to the best spots for snorkeling .

The Gulf of Chiriqui Marine National Park, 14,740 hectare that encompasses many islands, serves as a refuge for leatherback turtle and many exotic fish making snorkeling an exciting and colorful adventure.

After this exciting snorkeling we will head back to the island where we will camp. You will have time to refresh with a shower using our camping showers before enjoying a dinner. The comfortable tents are set and you can retreat any time you like.

Day 2

Waking up in the morning we will enjoy breakfast and then getting ready for a whole day adventure on sea kayaks. We will explore the marine national park and stop for lunch on one of the other deserted beaches.

It is likely to encounter playful dolphins.

In late afternoon we are back at Gamez,our camping island. Dinner will be prepared and another comfortable night before the last day adventure in the national marin park.

Day 3

After breakfast we will do a short sea kayak excursion close to the island. The rest of the morning there is time for some more snorkeling, relaxing time and lunch. It is also possible to do a short hike on the island, to enjoy some amazing views.

Early afternoon we are heading back in the moterboat to Pedregal.

From Pedregal we transfer you to your hotel in Boquete or David area.
